Blood Drive

9-14. On Thursday, September 14, there will be a Malta Community Blood Drive at Malta Lutheran Church from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. To schedule your appointment, please visit http://www.redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: “malta” or call the American Red Cross at 403-0956.

Malta Walleyes Meeting

9-14. The Malta Walleyes will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, September 14, starting at 7 p.m. at Stretch’s.

MT Veteran Affairs

9-14. On Thursday, September 14, Judy or Steve, service officers for Montana Veteran Affairs, will be at Malta City Hall from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. If you would like to apply for benefits with the VA please come at the appointed time and bring a copy of your discharge/separation (DD214) papers with you. Grandparents/Special Persons Day

9-14. The annual Grandparents/Special Persons Day at the Saco Public School will be on Thursday, September 14. Program at 11:15 a.m. and Lunch at 11:40 a.m. All welcome. Come and enjoy this special day with us!

VFW District Meeting

9-16. VFW Post 4067 will be hosting the District 5 meeting on Saturday, September 16 at the VFW Club in Malta. During this meeting the Department of Montana VFW service officer, as well as service officers from Glasgow and Havre will be present to help veterans with any claims that they may have or be working on. VFW members are invited to the meeting and the lunch preceding the meeting starting at noon. However, all veterans whether VFW member or non member are invited.

Inky’s Grand opening

9-16. Heather Jenkins’ Inky’s Studio will host a grand opening on Saturday, September 16 at 124 S 1st St E in Malta.

Coffee in Billings

No Kiwanis Meeting — Hike, instead

9-19. There will be no Kiwanis business meeting on Tuesday, September 19. Do join us for a short hike along Trafton Trail. Meet at the PC Museum parking lot at 6 p.m. Bring family and friends to enjoy the great outdoors for a short hike.

Gov. Contracting 101

9-19. On Tuesday, September 19, the Malta Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a call entitled “Government Contracting 101” presented by Kathie Bailey at noon at Westside Café (no-host lunch). The public is welcome. Call the Malta Chamber at 654-1776 for more info.

Rocks, Gems & Mineral Show

9-19. On Tuesday, September 19, the Phillips County Museum will host a rocks, gems and mineral show presented by Mitch and Annie Blatter starting at 6:30 p.m. The event is free to the public.

Solar Community Project in Malta

9-19. The Montana Energy Office will be in Malta on Tuesday, September 19 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Malta Business Center to discuss solar development in the state different types of “community-scale” solar. Range Monitoring Workshop

Indian Tacos at Senior Center

9-23. The Malta Senior Center will be celebrating Native American Month with an Indian Taco free-will offering meal on Saturday, September 23 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Phillips Transit Authority bus available at 654-5301.

Oktoberfest Pool Fundraiser

10-14. The Hi-Line Future Foundation is hosting the Second Annual Oktoberfest fundraiser on Saturday, October 14. Details to be announced.
