Mavs win three games

The North Country Mavericks picked up three wins last week as the team won a game against Brockton on Tuesday, October 10, another against Harlem on Thursday, October 12 and their last game of the week against Lustre Christian on Friday, October 13.

The Maverick's week started off with a win over Brockton in Hinsdale. The scores were 25-14, 25-9 and 25-11.

The Mavericks were led by senior Jada Sudbrack who had eight aces and six kills. Fellow senior hitter Mickayla Johnson also had six kills. Casity Boucher had 12 kills.

The Mavs had a total of 21 kills, 21 aces and 17 assists.

They defeated Harlem in four sets. The scores were 25-21, 23-25, 26-24 and 25-22.

Two days later the Mavericks hosted Harlem in Whitewater, and won three of four sets for a 3-1 victory, 25-21, 23-25, 26-24, and 25-22. No statistics were available for this North Country victory.

In their final game of the week, North Country traveled to Lustre Christian and won in three straight, 25-14, 25-22 and 25-21 to complete the hat trick during an undefeated week of play. North County accounted for 26 kills, 7 blocks, 21 aces, 7 digs and 15 assists as a team and Johnson led the team in individual kills with 12 and blocks with four while Danika Soper paced the team in aces with five; Kaitlyn McColly and Elise Strommen tied for the team lead in digs with two each and Boucher again led the team in kills with a dozen.
