One Nation, Under God
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is beginning the sealed bid process for a one-year hay lease on the Cree Crossing Wildlife Management Area (WMA) located north of Nelson Reservoir in Phillips County. The sealed bids will be accepted through 3 p.m. on June 16, at which time the sealed bids will be opened and read aloud at the Regional FWP office in Glasgow.
Following the completion of an Environment Assessment and public comment period, FWP is looking to award a one-year agricultural lease to help with vegetation management through the haying of approximately 43 acres of dense nesting cover to the highest bidder.
The one-time haying will take place after July 1 and all bales needed to be removed before August 15. Persons interested in the lease are invited to a walk-through on-site at Cree Crossing WMA on June 7 at noon.
Bidding instructions, maps, and other documents are available at the Regional FWP office in Glasgow or from Malta-area wildlife biologist Brett Dorak. If there are any questions, please contact Dorak at 406-654-2272, or email [email protected].
