REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS

FOR ON-CALL ENGINEERING SERVICES

The PHILLIPS County Commission is soliciting proposals to hire a firm to provide general engineering services for public works projects within the PHILLIPS County jurisdictional area. Phillips County will utilize the selected firm(s) to serve as an on-call engineer for professional engineering services for 5-years for related activities associated with but not limited to roads, bridges, trails, water, wastewater, stormwater, water resources & watershed studies, solid waste, subdivision reviews, site development, environmental reviews, and other miscellaneous public works projects. Desired services may include planning, preliminary engineering, design, surveying, construction administration, inspection work. The agreement and payment terms will be negotiated with the selected offeror.

Consistent with Section 3 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1968, CDBG regulations governing the grant require that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG-assisted project will be extended to local lower-income residents. Further, to the greatest extent, feasible, business concerns located in or substantially owned by residents of the project area will be utilized.

Disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE's) are encouraged to apply.

Copies of the detailed Request for Qualifications (RFQ), including a description of the services to be provided by respondents, the minimum content of responses, and the factors to be used to evaluate the responses, can be obtained by contacting the Phillips County Commissioners, at (406) 654-2429 or [email protected].

The Phillips County Commissioners will receive responses to this RFP at 314 S 2nd Ave. Malta, MT 59538, until 5:00 p.m. on June 23, 2021. Phillips County and its agents reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and waive any formality and technicality.

PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Malta will conduct a public hearing on June 22, 2021 at 5:03pm in the council chambers of city hall. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments on Resolution 1298, A Resolution amending the 2020/21 Sewer Budget to make provisions for unanticipated expenditures exceeding the original appropriation. Persons may appear in person or send written comments to Mayor John Demarais, PO Box 1300 Malta MT 59538 no later than 12 noon June 22, 2021.
