Hunting Access Technicians 1 - (21142064)
Two openings for Hunting Access Technicians - Field positions in Northeast MT, mid-August through mid-December. Weekend and holiday work required. Work schedule Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday,
10-hour days. $14.79 Hourly.
Benefits Package Eligibility: Paid Leave & Holidays, Retirement Plan
Duties
Meet with landowners to discuss area rules
Utilize GPS units for public and private land signing
Place boundary and trail signs
Distribute permission slip books, maps and signs
Install & check hunter sign-in boxes, restock permission slips and maps when necessary
Patrol block management areas
Check hunter compliance and provide violation information to enforcement personnel
Develop a report on activities during the post season
Qualifications
Must have good social skills. Ability to work with the public. Ability to work independently.
Communicate effectively in writing and orally. Must be able to interpret maps.
Have basic understanding and knowledge of upland game bird and big game hunting, and knowledge of hunting regulations and wildlife management
Ability to operate a 4x4 pickup truck, fencing tools, basic construction tools, computer and GPS.
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience)
The knowledge, skills, and abilities of this position are normally attained through combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or equivalency.
