PSCO conducts drug search on US Highway 191

On Friday, October 1, 2021, a joint drug interdiction operation was conducted involving members of the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Motor Carrier Services, Montana Highway Patrol, and a K-9 unit with the US Department of Fish Wildlife and Parks. A traffic stop resulted in the use of the K-9 dog and the seizure of the vehicle pending a search warrant to search for illicit drugs. The vehicle was stopped by Montana Highway Patrol Troopers on highway US 191 South, while on the Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
