Craig Brian Mitchell, 69, of Roy, Montana passed away peacefully at home with family by his side. He was born on April 24, 1952, in Malta, the son of the late Winston and Lucille Mitchell.
He graduated in 1970 from Malta High School. Shortly after, he married the love of his life Janice Cummings, November 13, 1971, they had three children together.
He started ranching with family and did part-time construction. Besides spending time with his family and friends Craig had a passion for trucking, ranching, and Sunday drives with his wife Jan. In 1979, he bought his first Semi and hauled hay and grain. He later trucked with his brother in laws, Clark & Richard Cummings flat bedding across the states. Later, he and Jan made a home in Roy, close to their grandkids and great grandkids. Craig continued working taking on running the backhoe and continuing his greatest passion, trucking for his son in law CW Kananen.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Mitchell, Children Robin (CW) Kananen, Leslie (Corey) Mitchell and son Curt Mitchell. Grand Children Chaz (Kindee) Kananen, Chad (Krista) Kananen, and Jada (Aaron) Mogle. Sadie, Madison, Regan and their father Stuart Skinner. Great Grand Children Zayden Mogle and Cruz Kananen. He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Ruth) Mitchell, Kevin (Michelle) Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.
Craig is preceded in death by his Mother, Father and his sister Valerie.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 30, at 2 p.m. at Roy School, Burial & Luncheon to follow.
