MHS Speech and Drama meet

Malta High School played host to 12 other schools and around 50-60 kids on Saturday, November 20, for its Speech and Drama Invitational.

The small but mighty Malta team of two held their own in the speech categories, coming away with a third-place team finish.

Izzie Hallenberg competes in the Dramatic Oral Interpretation (DOI) category.

"The piece I present is about a girl that is abused by her partner Zak," said Hallenberg. "DOI is the much heavier side of speech. More dramatic. I can't have a costume or use props. I have to mime or express any items and/or my surroundings."
