One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, December 1, 2021

Thanksgiving is over again for another year and I hope everyone had a wonderful day with family and friends. It is a good time for visiting and enjoying fellowship and lots of good food.

It looked like we would have snow over Thanksgiving but after a light dusting, between the wind and the sun it all disappeared again. Lots of wind all week though.

Terri Cole went to Denton to help with Thanksgiving dinner with daughter Kathy and family and to help care for Kathy who has been quite ill. We all wish Kathy a quick recovery.

The cement apron to the new bus barn looks good and we hope they will soon be able to park the bus's in the barn before the weather worsens.

Several ranchers in the vicinity have sent a few stock trucks of cattle out they would not normally have sold because of the shortage of both hay and water. Hopefully the conditions will not stay as bad as they are and they can in the new year restock and carry on. We also will be watching the price of beef in the stores if too many have to decrease herds.

Bill Henry of Havre came and took his mom Dora to Havre for the Thanksgiving weekend. Her daughter Cheryl flew up from Billings to enjoy Thanksgiving with them almost missing it, as her first flight was cancelled because of ice at the airport in Havre, but she was able to catch a later flight. So nice to see family we do not see often.

Birthday greetings are sent to Jon James and Colton Stiffarm and all others celebrating another birthday. Congratulations to all celebrating an anniversary this week.

What's to be done? Everyone wants to go to Heaven , but nobody wants to die.

Greet your neighbor and have a good week.
