One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, February 16, 2022

The weather has stayed pretty much the same, some warmer days, but lots of wind, and on Friday a short little snowstorm. It has cleared it down so we are seeing a lot more bare ground again.

There was a Council on Aging meeting on the ninth with an election of officers for the new year.

I hope everyone remembered their special one on Valentine's Day.

Bonnie has been delivering some of the lunches from the Center.

Polly is still visiting with Nathan and family at Townsend.

Watched the Super Bowl on Sunday but will have to admit---what I know of football you could put on the sharp point of the pin. I do enjoy some of the games though. And I have really enjoyed watching the winter Olympics.

Things are changing in our small communities so much, and not all for the good of them---with the covid and the loss of social activities---with the voter fraud issue---and the drastic change in some of our health care facilities, it is almost like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It was nice to see a picture of the new transit system Bus Barn that is so near to completion. Good to have at least one step forward.

Best wishes to and congratulations to Jerry Lankford and all others having a birthday and to all the couples having an anniversary. We wish you many more.

People are certainly peculiar----they want the front of the bus, the back of the church, and the middle of the road.

Easter is going to be later this year----Ash Wednesday is not until March 2nd. Sixty-nine years ago when my son Bill was born, he was born on Ash Wednesday--the 19th of February.

Have a wonderful week and greet a neighbor--it makes you feel good.
