P.E.O Chapter AK Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Montana state P.E.O. chapter AK recently celebrated their 75th anniversary. P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization that promotes the well-being of women through education.

Chapter AK was organized on April 9, 1947, with Ruth Bruins as their first president. The sisterhood now has 30 active members who help raise monies for scholarships for women.

P.E.O. International owns an all-girl college, Cottey College, in Nevada, Missouri. The local loans (current interest rate of 2%), programs for continuing education, awards for pursuing a doctorate, awards for a senior in college, scho...
