Annual Dinosaur Day at Malta Elementary

"Every year I wonder if I should do this project, and every year my students make me so proud and I realize why I do it," said 2nd-grade teacher and organizer of Dinosaur Day, Mrs. Teri Blunt.
Every year, for the past 15 or 16 years, Mrs. Blunt gets out the large collection of dinosaur books and each student gets to pick which dinosaur they will do a report and presentation on.
"It has evolved into a kind of lottery," Mrs. Blunt said. "We draw names and they get to choose. Then they can switch with someone but only once. It's become a rather big ordeal in itself."
