Chase is a new face at Phillips County Hospital and Family Health Clinic

Michigan native, Karen Chase, is a new Family Nurse Practitioner at the PCHC.

Karen grew up in Alma, Michigan. She completed her education at the University of Michigan for both her graduate, and bachelor's degrees.

She has been married to her husband for 34 years and has two sons, ages 30 and 34. They are both currently in the Air Force, one stationed in California and the other in South Korea.

Karen and her husband enjoy competition shooting. Both 22 cal., and long-range.

She enjoys reading, quilting, biking, camping, and anything else outdoors.

"So far, I really love Malta," said Karen. "Everyone is so down to earth. I like the slower pace compared to where I have been the past two years in Lansing, Michigan, working in women's health.

Karen and her husband have just recently signed on a house in Malta.

"It has been a long three-month process, but I love the house that we got," said Karen.

Karen has a goal to become a certified Psych Nurse Practitioner in the next year to serve those in the community with mental health concerns.

Welcome Karen Chase to the Malta Community when you see her around town.
