Sympathy to all affected by fires, especially wildfires in California. Here in Whitewater, we can smell smoke and the air is hazy. There are many fires in Montana and Canada which is close to us.

Sympathy to the family and all of Great Britain for the loss of Queen Elizabeth II, who reigned for 70 years.

Here is Whitewater news: Sally Austin attended the Catholic Church in Malta. The church celebrated the birthday of “Mother Mary” (Jesus’s mother). They had a delicious BBQ dinner following the service.

Sally A. and others all went on a walk for Mental Health Awareness. They walked for a good cause.

Jeannie Green took a load of sheep to sell in Miles City, Montana. She also got to visit her grandson, who is home now.

Lu Bessel is cooking at the Whitewater School until Cassandra Harms returns.

Connie Scheff is also a cook there. They now serve breakfast and lunch.

When I grew up (in 1st grade), we had to take a packed lunch as they didn’t have school lunches yet.

The recipe was published in the “Relay for Life Cookbook”.

Mexican Hot Dish

2 lb. cans chili without beans

2 lb. can of Red Beans

1 lg. pack of corn chips

2 lb. can of tomatoes

Chop 1 green onion and 1 green pepper

2 cups of grated cheese

Arrange Ingredients in a baking dish in layers.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

Have a good dinner!
