One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, October 19, 2022

My sisters, Debbie and Dee, and brother, Scott arrived on Thursday! Debbie had part of her family with her, Sienna, Ayden, and Beau. On Friday we went to the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum. Ross Cowan met us there also, as he arrived from Colorado. We had dinner in Malta on Thursday, and on Friday everyone came to my house for steak and burgers. By then the count was 20! On Saturday more relatives and friends were arriving, and we all met at the Loring Hall for a celebration of 106 years of farming.

On Sunday I kept my feet up all day! David and his family left about 12 p.m. and Rod's family close behind. It is so refreshing to get together with so many relatives and friends!

The school kids are into the Jamboree/junior high basketball season. The Cross Country team is off to state competition this week and the volleyball team is into the playoff tourneys. A great football game in Malta on Saturday when the Mustangs beat the Glasgow Scotties!

The wind is the main weather report that I have this week! But now it has calmed down! The sky is clear, no rain in the forecast.

I rarely travel after dark, so I was very surprised on Thursday night at how many deer were on the road on the way home. It was like they all came out to welcome me to the night! Scary! Thank heavens my brother drove me home!

On Thursday Cindy Clark invited me over to help celebrate her birthday! Carol Lumsden and Gale Simonson also attended! It was a fun afternoon!

Have a great week! Be safe and surprise someone with a gesture of extra kindness!
