One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, October 19, 2022

Sympathy to all affected by the hurricanes in Florida. It is sad.

Back to Montana. Good News! Dallas Green had a great check-up in Great Falls. Also, Joyce (Austin) Donovan did too, the same day. To both of you, here’s hoping you continue to get well.

Joyce went to visit Pat (Ivanovitch) Donish in Seeley Lake. Pat is Joyce’s aunt and Sally Austin’s sister.

Today, the wind is blowing for the first time in 7 or 8 days. The weather is so changeable in Whitewater.

Saturday was a very busy day for Justin and Sally Austin and me. We attended 2 funerals; one was for Bobby Young and the other for Pearl Peacher. Both were nice services, but stressful.

Before that, we registered and attended the Big Flat Electric meeting. We enjoyed coffee and doughnuts. Sally won a prize.

Congratulations to all the 4-H Clubs especially our local Whitewater Club. A big thank you to the club for the delicious cookies they gave me.

On Saturday, I met and visited friends Kay Del and Del Stiles (former Whitewater residents). Also visited Jan and Greg Kirkwood and others. Too bad it takes a funeral to get together.

Again, congratulations to the volleyball teams and cross-county girls, Great Job!

Also on Saturday, was the Ryan Olson Dart Tournament, Auction, and Dinner. It was well attended at the North 40.

Have a great week!

Helen A.

P.S. Wednesday, October 19, at 2:30 p.m. is the Whitewater School Fall Concert October 22, 2022, is the Linda Berg Auction starting at 9:00 am. Lunch will be served.
