MHS Jazz Combo to Perform on November 15

The Malta High School Jazz Combo Band will be performing a Night at Jazz Club event Concert #49 on Tuesday, November 15, at 7:00 p.m, at the Malta High School Auditorium.

Musicians include Madelyn Ohl – bass/drum set, Mady Bain - clarinet, Jon Siewing – vibes/drum set, Kirsta Meisdalen – piano/synthesizer, and Erik Engebretson – trumpet/bass.

The first set of music includes Canteloupe Island by Herbie Hancock, Tenor Madness by Sonny Rollins & John Coltrane, Song for My Father by Horace Silver, and Morning Dance by Spyro Gyra.

The second set includes Comin’ Home Baby by Earl Hagan, performed by Mel Torme, Equinox by John Coltrane, Joe Primrose’s St. James Infirmary performed by Louis Armstrong and Earl Hines, and The Jody Grind by Horace Silver.
