Twelve teams competed in the H.L. Pederson Middle School Wrestling Tournament. Teams competing were Alexander, ND, Circle, Dickinson, ND, Glasgow, Glendive, Malta, Minot, ND, Poplar, Sidney, Watford City, ND, Williston, ND, and Wolf Point. Most brackets had four wrestlers in each bracket and they all got three matches.
Malta had three wrestlers competing in the 6th grade division. Colby Wright (65-68 lb) was 1-2 and received 3rd place. Colby won by pin, lost 13-3 and lost a tight match by a 6-5 decision. Beckett Squires (74-80 lb) was 1-2 on the day and was 3rd place. Beckett started the da...
