Starting Thursday, December 1, recreational vehicles will need to be off the street for plowing. Vehicles that not moved every five days are subject to citations. Avoid the expense of a citation and court costs, it will save the city crew from adding gray hairs.

On the bright side of happenings, city crew members will be putting up the holiday decorations and also the display in Veteran’s Park.

A consumer of city water was in attendance and inquired about a recent water disconnection. He stated his concerns about the disconnection and fees incurred as a result of it. Clerk Bond and Deputy Clerk Laurie Barrett addressed the matter and the matter was resolved. The consumer had been given all the proper notice and had failed to accept the certified letter sent in the mail. The Council stated the list of disconnect notices each month is a concern. Council members urge all consumers to stay on top of their obligations before they become delinquent to the point of interruption of services. Stepping into the shower and having no water is a result of delinquency, in most instances.

The Council had a resident request being added to the garbage collect service; the Council approved the matter and a collection container will be provided.

On the agenda was the approval of payments to Lakeside for the lift station, the draft was unanimously approved.

The message from the city: get your dog(s) licensed and under control and get the vehicles OFF the street that aren’t used on a regular basis.
