One Nation, Under God

They Would Rather See Wolves than Wild Game

Dear Editor and Readers,

I've noticed on all of the news outlets and in the papers, that the man in charge of the wolf population in Montana is retiring and said it has been a roaring success. I wholeheartedly agree. They have brought back enough wolves to exterminate the deer and elk in western Montana for whatever reasons that they have hidden. The one thing it did do, is push all the hunters over to Eastern Montana where we still have game, at least until the wolves show up. Of course we blame all the hunters, and yet they are victims of an environmental policy that works in the favor of a few. I don't expect things to get much better, not as long as they are the ones who have the money to push these agendas. We need to work closer with our representatives, perhaps they can do something to stem this relentless tide against those of us that hunt.

I have seen in another newspaper around the state, that the officials are coming down on the environmentalists concerning wolves. It seems like the intention was to bring back wolves to get rid of the deer and elk in western Montana and I understand it's been very successful. It does appear that the Eastern park goers would rather see wolves than big-game. From my own personal experience, I can guarantee you you can't have both in the same pen. The results of their noble experiment is that the western hunters have invaded eastern Montana searching for game. We still have some, at least until the wolves show up. The lion will lay down with the lamb eventually, but not in Montana at this time. When they lay down together the lion is having dinner. I don't expect things to get much better unless we can get behind our representatives and try to back the other side off. They have the funds they had the time, and they are willing to fight to the bitter end to have the varmints that were worked so hard to get rid of 100 years ago. Call your representatives, make some noise, perhaps we can stop some of the wolves.
