One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for Wednesday, December 21, 2022

Just when we thought that it could not get any worse and colder----it fooled us and it did both. All week the temps were down, but Saturday night it got much colder and dumped approximately another six or more inches of snow on us. Hard to tell as the wind blew and we had crazy drifts everywhere.

Thank Heaven we have some special people around to thank as they take one more step toward heaven. Some of the kind people that were so good to me this week and earned my grateful thanks include Polly Solberg, Velyma Broadhead, Jerry, and Bonnie, Pat and Francine, and Lyle. To have your snow shoveled and removed when it is so cold is a blessing, along with all the other things you do. Know that I appreciate you all. If I have missed anyone please forgive me.

Polly attended Christmas programs in Malta on Sunday at The Lutheran Church and Elim Lutheran. She said they were really good.

Polly had an eye appointment in Havre on Monday so Dora rode with her. On the way up the snow was blowing across the highway, but roads were clear coming home.

Velyma Broadhead took Kay Taylor to Great Falls on Friday for medical appointments.

Ava Welch has gotten moved into her house------we're glad to have you back in the neighborhood.

The girls at the center have had some good lunches despite the weather. On Tuesday they attended some food training at the agency with other centers from across the reservation.

To Dean and Carol Kienenberger on their anniversary and Robert Dolphay on his birthday and all others celebrating this week, congratulations and BEST wishes for many more.

Two maiden ladies thought awful things would happen to them if they got near a male. They even had a female cat they wouldn't let outdoors for the same reason. Finally, one of them got married and went away on her honeymoon. A few days later the other received a postcard. All it said was, "Let the cat out!'

Watch the cold and stay warm--------have a good week and pray we get some warmer weather.

A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON TO YOU ALL!!!!!
