One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, January 4, 2023

Sympathy to all who are homeless, refugees, and those stranded at many airports due to airplane cancellations.

Don’t forget to make donations to your favorite charity, this season. I give to local food banks and the Salvation Army.

Happy New Year to All!! It is January 2023!

Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating. This includes Pattie Young.

Students at Whitewater schools are on Christmas break and enjoying the vacation.

There was a wonderful Christmas program at the WW schools. It was well attended, and a light lunch followed.

Whitewater Lutheran church had three Baptisms on Christmas Eve afternoon.

They were the grandchildren of Pat Anderson. (I will get names). Following there was a beautiful candlelight service. I was honored to play for the church service as they sang the old carols.

Thanks to all who gave me food, gifts, and cards. I appreciate them all.

Pastor Wisher and Anita of the Whitewater Baptist Church were here for Christmas.

In Whitewater, we have so much snow! Children are sledding on hills and making snow angels by laying on the ground in the snow.

There were sleigh rides at 4 p.m. on New Years’ Eve at the North 40 Café. A potato bar followed.

Happy New Year to all!

Helen A.
