One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, January 25, 2023

Here’s hoping you have a warm house this cold snowy winter weather.

There was a wonderful birthday party for Patti Young at the North 40 in Whitewater. The party was well attended by friends and family, including Patti’s grandchildren the Andersons. The food was delicious and prepared by family and friends. It included a lovely birthday cake.

Happy Birthday to Patti and all January birthdays!

Congratulations to the Whitewater Penguins/Lady Mavs on being rated #1 in basketball in the state! Also “Good Luck” to them and all the basketball teams. Remember, “It isn’t whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game”!

There are fox hunters working in our Whitewater area. They are from out of state.

Here In Whitewater, we are almost snowbound. We have snowdrifts that are 10 to 12 feet high. Think Spring!

Thanks again to all who gave me gifts, food, and cards or letter in 2022.

Special thanks to too my niece Carol (formerly Brown) of Whitewater. Carol sent me a beautiful, warm, soft-knitted hat. She takes Jean Greens sheep wool and spins it into yarn, then knits the yarn into hats. Carol used Dad’s wool when she started this.

Stay Warm!

Helen A.
