One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, February 22, 2023

Sympathy to all victims of hurricanes or tornadoes. It is very sad.

Back in Whitewater, we do not have hurricanes or tornadoes, (at least not severe). We do have snow and ice and really cold weather. But it is getting better. Now we have a Chinook wind. The snow is melting!

Think Spring!

Tuesday evening, there was a pep rally at WHS for our teams going to tournament. It was a large group and supper was served. Good luck to all players.

The Penguin/Mavericks, girls’ and boys’ basketball team’s tournament were held in Glasgow this weekend.

The Malta Mustangs and M-ettes basketball teams were played in Malta.

I listened on KMMR radio and on KLTZ, the Glasgow radio station.

Monday, Jeanie Green and I went to Sleeping Buffalo Resort to swim. I just sit in the hot pool. The water was hot and clean. We also enjoyed pizza and ice cream.

After basketball season is over, schools will begin practice for track. Seniors will begin preparing for graduation and all the students will be wanting to be outside, enjoying the great outdoors. Everyone is looking forward to spring. Yes, it has been a long winter.

Note: Whitewater Lutheran Church has Lenten services and soup supper on Wednesdays at 5:30. Lenten Services will begin March 1, 2023. All are welcome.
