One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, March 29, 2023

I’m not sure how we’ll handle all the moisture when the snow starts to melt! I know I have no say, but melting slowly for a while and then running off into the pits and dams! Whatever happens, it’s ok because we are so thankful to have a white winter this year! I saw a snowy owl last week! The first time this year!

I enjoyed the Firefighter’s hamburger/fish fundraiser on Friday! Then I went up to the Event Center to visit and check out the agriculture displays! I haven’t been in a few years so I was happy with the number of displays! I saw many friends and a few strangers!

Carol Lumsden celebrated her birthday this week! I went over on Wednesday to take a treat for her birthday! Whitney Blunt went to Billings with Carmen Norville for the weekend. Sister time with Jonnae, too!

Senior meals were canceled on Wednesday, so Cindy Clark invited me down for lunch! She had spent Tuesday in Havre taking care of some chores but also attending a church meeting.

Congrats to Paige Wasson on her awards in Basketball! She is so talented!

Calving has started in earnest up here! I love to watch the little calves cavorting in the feed ground. Can’t call it a pasture since there is no grass visible and calling it tundra just wouldn’t be right!

Joke for today: How do astronomers throw a party? They planet!

By the way, there are five planets visible in the night sky now until the end of March!
