American Prairie Acquires Additional Habitat Rich Property in Phillips County

Land acquisition makes organization fence neighbors with Fort Belknap for first time

American Prairie is pleased to announce the purchase of a wildlife and waterfowl rich property, located on the eastern border of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Phillips County. The 4,960-acre property comprises 3,075 deeded acres and 1,885 leased acres located south of Dodson, MT. Approximately 1,847 of the deeded acres are under a Conservation Easement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) with the intention of protecting and promoting waterfowl habitat. In addition to Fort Belknap, the property also borders the USFWS Korsbeck Waterfowl Production Area.
