One Nation, Under God
We haven't had any rain showers for a while, but it has been getting hot in the afternoons. More typical July weather than we have been having. Polly Solberg said her temp read just over 100 today.
Summer school is over and so is basketball camp, so things have quieted down again. Now everyone is preparing for the fair. I hope they have a good one we need to start getting back to some more of our normal activities. Jerry and Bonnie keep mowing and working at cleaning up some of the town for the fair.
I couldn't believe walking in my yard how dry the top of the ground is getting and cracking, etc. With all the times it rained, it seemed it would stay wet all summer.
Ava Welch took some time off to travel to visit and take care of some business.
It is good to see Polly Solberg hopping around so well after her operation, which went well. Can't drive yet but friends have been good about taking her about.
Glen Dolphay has been busy clearing and cleaning some of the property he has bought in Dodson.
Birthday greetings to Wesley KillEagle Jr. and everyone having a birthday this week. Anniversary congratulations to anyone having an anniversary. Enjoy them all.
Two ninety-year-old men, Herb and Herman, were at the funeral service for another ninety-year-old pal. After the benediction, they lingered, looking at the open casket of the deceased brother. Finally, Herb said to Herman, "You know, it's hardly worth going home."
Have a good week and enjoy the weather---this is Montana---it will probably be different tomorrow.
