One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, July 26, 2023

The heat is almost as bad as the cold was back in January! I think 100 degrees is drying it up here.

My son’s family visited for a couple of days this past week. They came to help me go through box after box of papers and pictures from my mother and dad’s place. Rod is cleaning out the house room by room to get ready for the new owners. We all went to the Sleeping Buffalo on Tuesday and had a great time! We took a trip around the Bowdoin Wildlife Refuge and stopped at the brewery!

On Friday the Girl Scouts STEM van was at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum. Many students came by to check it out with their parents. They all took home a 3D-printed object. So cool!

Bryten Clark, our local actress, had the final performance of Matilda on Sunday! I feel that she did a great job and Mylee Clark also learned so much about sets and props! Great job!

Carol Lumsden and her grandkids came over to my house one day to visit and have a cookie.

On Friday, I spent some time with the Love girls painting. It was another fun afternoon.

I see the 4H livestock entries are being posted on Facebook! They all look great! Such a lot of work but very satisfying, I think!

Thank you to my three Morrison pea pickers and their dad for dropping off a bucket of peas! I had a shelling party with my grandson, Rocco, and his mom!

I have a large supply of blankets since we are putting two houses into one. Let me know if you need one or two!

Until next week stay cool and be safe!
