Deputy Roberts Honored for Late Night Rescue at Nelson

Throughout a law enforcement officer's career, he or she may be called upon to set aside their safety in order to save another person's life. Such an incident took place on the evening of July 9, 2023.

Phillips County Deputy Sheriff Matthew Roberts responded to a disturbance at Nelson Reservoir at approximately 11:50 P.M. and found a juvenile female in the water 75 yards off-shore.
