One Nation, Under God

Meeting Mrs. Fuller and Mrs. McKenney

It is going to be a year of exciting adventures, action and accomplishments. The year will also be one to fill with memories and when the year is over, which will be far quicker than we think, the year will be one to reflect back upon. The PCN received responses for these staff members.

Anna Fuller, her husband Jerrad, and five sons, moved from Bonner's Ferry, ID. She obtained her teaching degree from the University of Idaho. Anna Fuller has spent the last couple of years as a stay-at-home mom, while working on starting a flower farm. She and her family enjoy the farm and ranch life, and outdoors. Having taught for 10 years at Boundary County School in Idaho, she will be the Special Education teacher at Malta High School.

Janell McKenney serves as the new middle school and high school choir director, as well as elementary music teacher at Malta Public Schools. Janell is no stranger to the Hi-Line as she grew up on a farm near Lustre, Mont. In fact, Mrs. McKenney student-taught at Malta with Larry Swingen back in the fall of 2012.  After getting a degree in Music Education and a degree in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Montana, Mrs. McKenney taught elementary music and choir in Manhattan, Montana, as well as in Billings.

She took the past couple of years off from teaching to take care of her kids that she shares with Roy McKenney, the new MHS band director. "It's really great to be back in the classroom and back in Malta. There's something really special about this school and community, and I enjoy the unique challenges and joys of teaching music at all age levels."
