M-ettes Host Pink Night, Raise $3,150

The Malta M-ettes volleyball team hosted the Wolf Point Lady Wolves for their annual Pink Night, a night in which the team raises money for breast cancer awareness and to help a selected family or families affected by breast cancer.

The team had a Chinese Raffle and a Bake Sale as a part of their fundraiser. The team raised a total of $3,150 that will go to the Prellwitz family and Hellie family.

Malta will see plenty of action this week as they travel to Harlem to face the Lady Wildcats on Thursday, October 12, starting at 4:30 p.m. The team will then travel to Cut Bank to play the Lady Wolves on Friday, October 13, starting at 3 p.m.

Malta will then face the Poplar Lady Indians for Senior Night at the Malta High School Gymnasium starting at 2 p.m. This year, seniors Addison Ulrich, Giona Lamb, Kataya KillEagle, and Elly Anderson will be honored.

In the 3-2 loss to the Wolves, the scores were 25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 14-25, and 11-15.

Malta was led offensively by Ava Hanson who had six of Malta’s 30 kills. Neva Jacoson had six of 12 aces, 17 of 25 assists, and 21 of 85 digs. Giona Lamb had three of six blocks.
