One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, October 25, 2023

Again, Happy Birthday to all October birthdays including Leona Siewing. Also, to those celebrating anniversaries.

Bonnie McMullen went to Billings for appointments.

LuLubell Bessel went to Landusky to visit.

Many in the Whitewater area are busy shipping cattle, this includes the Austin Ranch. Von Holzey was helping the ranch work the cattle. The cattle have been in summer pasture.

Speaking of cattle, congratulations to Dennis Donovan of Kremlin on his roping award. He and Joyce Austin Donovan are going to Oklahoma, so Dennis can compete in the big-time rodeo!

Back to Montana. Lloyd Dionne's funeral was on Thursday. I attended; it is sad how many people we have lost. But life goes on.

Many from Whitewater attended the Big Flat Electric meeting on Saturday.

Sally Austin, the Dunbar’s and I won prizes and others. Alan Wasson is president and conducted the meeting.

It is hunting season (poor birds) and animals. Hunters please be aware and careful, abide by the rules.

Congratulations to the WHS volleyball and cross-country participants. Whitewater School closed for teacher conventions. Students got a little break from school.

Note: Don’t forget the library is at the North 40 café. Help yourself to the books.

If you have news and or stories, call or write to me.

Hats off to Dixie Stordahl, Eldora Henry and Pat Murdock for being news correspondents for the PCN.
