When a freak October snowstorm in South Dakota left thousands of cattle dead in its wake, 16 local ranchers donated 29 head of cattle to help some ranchers there get a new start. Valued at $40,000, the cattle were inspected by Bill Anderson (who donated his time) and Jesse Blunt of the Livestock Association assisted with the project. A Montana tradition…neighbor helping neighbor.

NHS members Shyla Gairrett, Hannah Whitaker, Reid Robinson and Justin Funk assisted with the program.

Head coach Tad Schye reflected back on his 5-3 winning season. He praised the work of Kelin King, Gerome Lamb, Troy Manoukian and Caleb Harms, Reid Robinson, Tyson Carney and Kyle Mitchell for the successful season.

“Hunger” was the motivation for Sue Fladland’s choice to enter the nursing field. “I got married, came home and there just wasn’t enough money to go around,” so she earned her RN degree. After 44 years, she earned her retirement and hung up her stethoscope.
