One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, January 31, 2024

The weather is very spring like! It’s a great change from the subzero weather from a few weeks ago! The frozen pipes are all fixed, thank goodness! Remember, I’m writing the Loring news from the west side of Billings and the high temps this week are in the 50’s! There are a lot of pigeons around here, making a mess as we know they do around the granaries at Loring.

Etta Blunt took 3rd place in wrestling in Glasgow on a Saturday and on Sunday she took 3rd in Malta where she wrestled up in weight class! Quite the mat lady! Everett and Etta played Ding it’s and Dang it’s at the Whitewater ball game while Amus played in the band!

Lu Besel spent a couple of days with me as she had doctor appointments. We never ran out of words. It was so fun to see her! My sister Debbie spent some time with us too. And my grandson, Rocco, visited with us also!

On Friday Pete and Carol Lumsden and Cecile Norville drove down to stay at Jonnae and Jim Slade’s. Kenna Slade had a birthday party held at Wise Wonders, a children’s Science Museum. It was very exciting I thought!! What a wonderful addition to Billings!

I’ve heard that the frost is beautiful on the trees up in Loring! The fog has been pretty thick up there! You know that means in 90 days it’s supposed to rain.

The full moon called the wolf moon was beautiful this week! I of course had to let out a howl!

It’s getting closed to basketball tournament time, the Mavericks are doing well and so are the M-ettes and Mustangs! Go fight win!
