PCH Welcomes New Medical Director

Phillips County Hospital and Family Health Clinic is excited to welcome their new Medical Director Melanie Hardy, DO. Dr. Hardy started her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree and studied at the Washington University in St. Louis for her Master's Degree. She then attended the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA where she completed her Doctor of Osteopathy in May of 2008. She continued her education at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev., as a Family Medicine resident with an OB specialty track from 2008-2011.

Dr. Hardy is a Family Medicine Board Certified Physician who currently works at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown, Mont., in the emergency department. She will be coming to Phillips County Hospital once a month to provide coverage for our Emergency Room and Hospital as well as complete her medical directorship duties. Dr. Hardy has extensive knowledge as a Medical Director and has most recently been involved as the Medical Director for the Roosevelt Community Clinic in Vernal, UT from 2011-2013 and the Marias Healthcare in Shelby, Mont., from 2013-2020.

Dr. Hardy has a great understanding of rural/frontier medicine and will be a great asset to PCH. We look forward to having Dr. Hardy become a part of our Phillips County Hospital team and working with her as our Medical Director starting in March 2024.
