One Nation, Under God

Bruce "Luke" E. Kirkaldie (May 15, 1951 - February 21, 2024)

Luke passed away at the age of 72 at the Phillips County Hospital of natural causes on February 21, 2024.

Luke was born to Bruce and Ovilla Kirkaldie on May 15, 1951, at Fort Belknap and raised in Lodge Pole, Montana.

Luke was a good friend to those who knew him, and he loved to be around kids, joking and teasing. A giving soul, always willing to give back to others in need. His last gift was as an organ donor and has passed a gift of eyesight on to another soul in need.

Luke ranched and worked road construction. However, his real passion was roping with his friends. In his later years, he would attend, watch, teach, and help others with their roping. He loved to rope!

Luke is survived by his sister Rita (Chick) Helgeson of Malta. A niece Kaydee (Kevin) Moore and great-niece Marlee of Wasilla, Alaska. Special family members Eddie and Sherrill Bishop of Dodson. Shayne, Carly, Jayce, Kaylee, Shyla and Kyann.

We would like to give a special thank you to the Phillips County Hospital and staff for the attentive care and kindness given to Luke while in their care. Also, a thank you to Don Dalby for his friendship, his help around the house, and checking in on Luke daily.

Per Luke's request, there will be no service.
