One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, March 20, 2024

Editors Note: The March 6 Loring News was inadvertently left out of the PCN. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

March 6: One way to realize how fast time is marching on is when the month changes numbers! We are already on month three!

Congrats to the North Country Mavericks and the Malta M-ette’s! Both are Champions in the divisional tournaments! Repping Phillips County! Good luck to both teams in the next tournament! I’ll be cheering and listening from Billings!

I did something today that was new to me. I ordered a Chinese meal to be delivered by DoorDash. It was here in less than 15 minutes! It was good food also!

The weather at Loring has been very nice. Yes, the wind blew, and yes there was snow, but that’s natural! The other days were sunny and warm!

Loring Lutheran will have services next Sunday, March 10. Orvin Solberg will deliver the message.

Etta Blunt took 2nd at the wrestling match in Lewistown. Congratulations, Etta!

Rita Frasure, of Shepherd, took me to the movie Amadeus, a story about Mozart! It was a good evening out!

Have a great week!

March 20: I hope that my readers are aware of the wonderful changes in the seasons that are happening around you! Even here in busy Billings, I hear birds talking to each other staking out their territory for the breeding season! Some of the trees are getting buds growing fatter until the leaves burst out! I know northern Montana needs rain or snow, for the growing season, and I’m praying for it to happen!

Whitewater school athletes have started training for their track and field season. But they are also taking the annual testing in their classrooms! Good luck in both endeavors!

Carol Lumsden and Jonnae Slade came over and took me out to lunch at the City Vineyard!

We had a great visit, and it was fun to show off my apartment. Then later in the week, Nancy Murdock had appointments and spent the night with me. We went to the IMAX for the movie “Dune 2”! It was an experience for sure.

Nancy and I toured the Affinity, and she was surprised that we had a theater, Pub, craft room, garden area, and a saltwater swimming pool and hot tub! Some other amenities include a game room, yoga studio, library, Internet cafe, and a workshop!

For St. Patrick’s Day, Brandie and David Stordahl invited me over for a special dinner. Dave was the main chef and cooked Korean Fried Chicken, gold mac and cheese, and broccolini! It was delicious!

I’m still painting. Even though my eyes are not helping. I’ll try to keep on because I still enjoy it. I even teach a class once a month. It’s great to see the finished projects of the people who don’t think they can do it! The topic this last time was “Sunsets”.

Have a good week!
