VFW Auxiliary 4067 Show Support To Military Youth by Wearing Purple

This year, we've focused a lot on veterans and our service members. At this time, I'd like to ask you to take a few minutes to reflect on those who are often left behind when our loved ones are deployed-the families. April is Month of the Military Child.

While Purple Up Day is observed on April 15, I'd like to encourage all Auxiliaries to wear purple to their April Auxiliary meeting and take a photo that can be shared on your social media platforms to show your appreciation for our military children and all that they go through when their family members are away.

Purple references the joint environment of the military, encompassing all service branches, active-duty, reserve, National Guard and veterans. Purple combines each branch's colors into one: the Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard all use shades of blue; the Army uses green and Marines use red.
