One Nation, Under God

Green Selected to Represent the VFWA 4067

Sommer Green, a student at Whitewater High School, was selected to represent the VFW Post 4067 Auxiliary in the Get Excited for the Red, White and Blue singing contest. The contest is a national contest and contestants enter a video rendition of their singing of the National Anthem.

Miss Green sang the National Anthem at the Class C Basketball Tournament in Great Falls in February, and her recording at that performance is the one she submitted.

In addition to the entry form, it was a requirement to post their song on a social media format, and for this Sommer chose Youtube; her entry is available for viewing by typing: @sommergreen-lv7tm which will allow access.

Sommer is the daughter of Dallas and Ashley Green of Whitewater. She is the great-granddaughter of the late Dale Green, who served in the US Army. She is the granddaughter of Kenneth Reid Kochel, formerly of Baker, Montana, now residing in Spearfish, S.D.; he served in the US Navy.
