One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for the Week of February 4, 2015

Our sympathy to Scott Scheffelmear and family on the loss of his sister, Cherie. She was Gale’s cousin. Also, sympathy to Siewings and family on the loss of Madalyn Itcaina.

Sally Austin, Janice and Kevin Reichelt and I traveled to Billings. We attended church where Jeanie Green and Julie Cole had been in a “lockdown retreat” for three days. The service was wonderful. Janet Brown also came to the service with us.

Monday, Janet and I went to swim. I sat in the hot tub and it was great. We shopped at the dollar store where it is fantastic to get anything, even food and meat, for one dollar. Janet’s children, Carol and Glenn (former Whitewater residents) also visited us over the weekend.

Whitewater hosted ballgames last Thursday night. Whitewater and Saco choirs sang the National Anthem. The combined band played the schools songs and the music was both impressive and inspirational.

The weather is lovely and the snow is gone. I have seen winters with three feet of snow and temperatures of 30 below here in January. This weather is much better.

Have a good week.
