Dial Pre-School Screening

3-25. Preparations are being made for a Preschool Screening for children from the ages of birth to 5 ½ years old. The Denver II is used for screening children from birth to three years of age. The DIAL-3 is used for ages 3-5 1/2. The Preschool Screening is scheduled to take place at the Malta Lutheran Church on Wednesday, March 25 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. The Denver II screening will be available from 8:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.

AARP Driver Safety Course

3-27. On Friday, March 27 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. an AARP Driver Safety course will be held at the Malta Senior Center. This is a classroom instruction and there is no test involved, just tips to make you a safer driver. Most insurance companies offer a discount on your insurance premiums after taking the class. Malta Irrigation District Closed

3-27. The Malta Irrigation District office will be closed March 25 through March 27, 2015. Office will reopen Monday, March 30, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. Questions please call (406) 654-1440.

Creative Writing Contest Awards

3-31. Alpha Zeta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will hold their awards program for their 24th annual creative writing contest at 7:00 p.m. on March 31, 2015 in the Hinsdale School. Student winners from Phillips County and Hinsdale will read their essays on “A Tale to Tell” and monetary awards will be presented. The public is invited.

Dodson Community Easter Dinner

4-1. Dodson Community Easter Dinner will be held at Dodson School, Wednesday, April 1 at 12:30 pm. A concert featuring Alex Zerba & the Zaniacs will be held at the Dodson School gym at 1:30 p.m.

Malta Schools early dismissal

4-10. School will be dismissed at noon on Friday, April 10, 2015 to better accommodate the District Music Festival.

The Nelons Concert

3-29. On Sunday, March 29, the Nelons Come on Home Tour concert will be held at the Malta Assembly of God Church starting at 6 p.m. There will be a free will offering to see the Grammy nominated trio and six-time GMA Dove winner. For more information call 654-2396
