AA Meeting

Saturdays. The Outback AA Meeting is held every Saturday at 4 p.m. at 139 9th St. SW in Malta.

PC Fair Board

10-14. The Phillips County Fair Board will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 14, at 6 p.m. at Stretches Pizza. The public is welcome to attend.

Mustang Foundation Chili Feed

10-14. The Mustang Foundation will be holding a chili feed at the Mustang's football game against Harlem on Senior Night. Meal will be chili, chips and desert for $5.

Book Discussion Group

10-15. The Book Discussion Group will meet at 7 pm on Thursday, October 15, at the Phillips County Library to discuss the book Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee. Anybody who has read the book is welcome to attend and visit about the book.

Cupcakes ‘N Canvas

10-17. On Saturday, October 17, the Art Spot in Malta will be holding Cupcakes ‘N Canvas “Pumpkin” Painting from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Malta Business Center. Tickets are $20 per person and children are welcome. Reservations required, call 654-1523 for more information.

Kiwanis Meeting

10-20. Malta Kiwanis will meet on Tuesday, October 20 starting at 6 p.m. at Westside Cafe. A power point program explaining Kiwanis International will be given. New members always welcome.

Dodson Flu shots

10-22. The Phillips County Health Department will be giving flu shots at Dodson School from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 22. Please bring Medicare Card or Insurance Card

Malta Middle/High School Parent Teacher Conferences

10-28. Wednesday, October 28, is Parent Teacher Conferences at Malta Middle and High School. Hours are 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. and noon – 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary. High School report cards can be picked up at the office. There will be no school for students that day.

PCN Customer Appreciation

10-29. On Thursday, October 29, The Phillips County News will be hosting a Customer Appreciation Night. Chili will be served, door prizes will be given and glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces will be given away to children. The event starts at 5:15 p.m. and will run until 6:15. Stop and see us before heading to the Parade of Lights.

MSD Obsolete Sale

10-28. The Malta School District obsolete sale will be held October 28, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Malta Head Start Building – AKA the old Country Home -- located at 117 S 9th St W. No early birds.
