The lost art of defrosting your windshield before driving in the winter time

I grew up and have spent most of my life living in the north country. It has always been a common practice to start your vehicle 20 minutes before you leave the house so that you can see out your windshield while driving 4,000 lbs. of steel down the road that you are sharing with other drivers and pedestrians of all ages.
