One Nation, Under God

Thank you for your service, Gaelen

Gaelen Curtis resigned from the Malta School Board on March 8, 2016. It was with reluctance that her resignation was accepted. Pictured are Mark Knudsen, Board Chair presenting Gaelen with the bronze Mustang, given to her in honor of her eight years of service to the Malta School Board.

During her tenure on the board, Gaelen also received the Marvin Heintz award. An award given by the Montana School Board Association in recognition of those trustees who have reached the pinnacle of trustee training and leadership by amassing 36 points in the School Board Academy trustee certification program. Trustees must have received the equivalent of six years certification or approximately 110 hours of training, and those who qualify have truly shown their commitment to educational leadership. Gaelen served on the Malta School Board from 2008 until 2016. Prior to that, Mrs. Curtis was a school teacher with the Malta District for 20 years.
