One Nation, Under God

Loring News for March 1, 2017

Congratulations to the ball players from this weekend! The North Country Mavericks and Lady Mavericks both played in the Divisional tournament in Wolf Point! The Malta M-ettes won their divisional tournament in Glasgow ! They will be on their way to state! Also congrats to Gregg Wasson's team in Harlowtown for earning a spot to state, too!

The Loring Lutheran Church has been rolled off the foundation and is sitting on wheels east of the original location. Things are starting to move along. It is exciting but scary! A special find was a geocache. It will be relocated to a place close by.

The North Country teams had a community pep rally on Tuesday! It's amazing how people pitch in and things come together to make a memorable experience for the kids!

One of my favorite adults when I was a kid is turning 100 on Tuesday! Happy birthday, Earl Wasson! Hope it is a happy one!

Jeannie Schroder, Saige and Zoey Stordahl spent the weekend visiting at Loring! We all hit the Sleeping Buffalo on Saturday. Pete and Carol Lumsden were on their way in as we were leaving.

Carmen and Matt Norville threw a “Frozen” theme birthday party for their girls, Ellie and Aubrie! Jonnae and Calen Slade drove up from Billings for the occasion!

Rocco Stordahl is taking ice skating lessons in Billings! I hope he takes after Tom, his grandpa. Tom loved to skate when we first were married and dating. I had never had skates on until he bought me a pair with a blue fuzz ball on each!

On Tuesday, the county spelling bee was held in Whitewater. It was so fun listening to the spellers and seeing the excitement when the word was spelled correctly! Billie Messerly stopped in my room to visit after. She worked with me when I taught kindergarten through second!

Have a great week! I am certain that we are a week closer to the meadowlark's song waking me up!
