One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News for May 10, 2017

There was a baptism at Whitewater Lutheran Church on Sunday for baby boy Hepton Moore! His parents are Sean and Shelly Moore of Whitewater. Baby Hepton’s grandparents are Terri and Jackie Moore from Maysville, N.D. Their relatives are the Fox and Werk families (Godparents are Lourdes and CJ Caves of Havre.) Zeena and Zelda Fox of Billings also attended. A delicious lunch and cake followed the ceremony. Congratulations to all.

Happy birthday to all May birthdays!

Sympathy to victims of floods everywhere.

The North 40 served senior meals to a bus-load of ladies from the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta. Joan Christofferson, my old friend, was one of the guests. The Phillips Transit bus was driven by Candee Soennichsen. All were welcome.

There was a carnival at Whitewater School on Friday. There were many games, including Bingo. (I played but I did not win…oh well.) A pizza lunch was served.

May is here and spring is farming and seeding time all over our country. Many big John Deere machines go by on the road to the fields. Good luck to all.

Justin Austin of Denver, Colo., and son, Archer, returned home after working on the Austin Ranch.

School is coming to a close for the year. Baccalaureate and graduation is May 12. There will be a party at the North 40 following the ceremony. Congratulations to all graduates.

Take care,

Helen
