One Nation, Under God

Dodson News for February 7, 2018

Winter definitely kept its hold on the weather with Tuesday warming up enough to make the snow settle but on Wednesday it was back to more snow in the morning with the sun trying to shine by noon.

Wednesday was the fifth week in the month, with a full moon, so a blue moon with a partial moon eclipse just before dawn on Wednesday morning, if people were up early enough to see it. Some of us will not be here for the next one.

On Friday it turned very cold again with several inches of new snow and Sunday morning it was down to 25 degrees below again. Both churches canceled church on Sunday so people would not be out in the extreme cold.

There was a basketball game on Saturday evening with the Mavericks with the Coyotes losing both the girls and boys games.

Terri and Wink Cole returned home after staying several days in Billings having recall work done on their car.

Polly Solberg and Dora Henry were in Havre on Thursday for Polly to get new glasses. While there they visited Betty Munson and she said Terri Cole had also been to visit her.

We are sorry to be losing the town man and best handyman around as Rob Bear, Wife Cathy, and family are moving to Harlem where Rob has accepted a position with the school system for their bus service. His sister Angela will be buying and living in their trailer home here in Dodson.

Birthday greetings are sent to Wes KillEagle and all the other birthday people this week.

Lent is creeping up on us and will begin next Wednesday, Valentine's day.

Memory is the diary that we always all carry with us.
