Season ends for Lady Coyotes

The season ended for the Dodson Lady Coyotes as the team lost 57-39 to the Lustre Lady Lions in the semi-final round of consolation games in the 3C District Tournament in Wolf Point.

The Lady Coyotes faced the Frazer Bearcubs in the opening round of the tournament last Thursday, February 15, at 2 p.m. Dodson lost 86-60.

In their loss to Frazer, Christina Jaynes led Dodson with 17 points. Shontelle Talks Different had 15 points and Melony Fetter had 14 points.

Dodson took the lead in the first, scoring 17 points, while Frazer only scored 11 points.

Frazer’s offense started rolling in the second quarter, led by Bearcub Mya Fourstar, who would score a game-leading 32 points.

The Bearcubs scored 26 points in the second quarter, 22 points in the third and 27 in the fourth. Dodson would score 12 points in the second quarter, 11 in the third quarter, and 20 in the fourth.

In their loss to Lustre on Friday, February 17, Fetter led Dodson with 13 points, Talks Different had nine points, and Donna Dale had eight points.
