Welcome to the goldfinches! Now I'm waiting for the king birds and the lark buntings. Everything seems about a week behind last year.

The Whitewater middle school through high school took a field trip to Fort Peck Fish Hatchery, the Power House and the Interpretive Center. Cary Woodruff went with us to talk about the fossils at the Interpretive Center!

The Whitewater Penguin tracksters participated in the district meet in Glasgow on Saturday. Trace Simonson qualified in all of his events, Kia Wasson qualified in both of her long distance races, 1600 and the 3200 meter. Kelsee Cummings will be throwing the shot put and discus. Cody Scheffelmaer will compete in the high jump! Quite impressive for only four students!

Carol Lumsden, Whitney Blunt and Carmen Norville traveled to Billings with all the children to run in the Mother's Day color run with Jonnae Slade! I'm sure they had a great time!

My chicken eggs are supposed to hatch on Monday! I'll let you know our percentage!

Jeanie Green will be retiring from the post office in Loring soon. I wish her well in her adventures!

I attended the funeral of Sylvia Kaasa on Friday. All of her brothers and sisters were home to say goodbye. It was good to see them and catch up on what is happening in their lives. The three boys, Roger, Bill, and Dan and sister Cynthia attended school in Whitewater and graduated.

Loring Lutheran Church will have services at 9 on the 20th of May. Everyone welcome!
