One Nation, Under God

Robert T. Morris

Robert T. Morris, WWII Veteran, born November 21, 1921, passed away on March 18, 2018. He was born to Beaver Creek homesteaders Guy T. and Anna B. Morris, joining his brother Boyd and sisters Margret (Duty) and Mary Isabelle (Adams).

Robert was in the Army/Air Corps in 1942 training on B52 bombers. Returning to Malta after the war, he tried farming the homestead with brother in law, Earl Duty, and then started trucking for local farmers. He went to L.A. to National Schools to learn Electronics, had a TV repair shop in St. Anthony, worked on Minute Man Rockets, built satellites, IBM computers and loved his gadgets. He had an unmatched zest for life! He loved to dance, travel and tell jokes! Robert completed his last cruise through the Panama Canal and asked for his boots (he didn't want to hurt his toe when he kicked the bucket!). He peacefully passed to dance with the Angels. RIP, Daddy Roo.

Placement was in Idaho Veterans Cemetery, Boise, Idaho, with scattering of ashes at the homestead taking him home. Robert is survived by his daughters Ina Rae Fisher, Judy Rice and Jill Morris.
